Muslims and the Apology Question

Re: Message to Muslims: I’m Sorry (op-ed, Sep 18):

While Nicholas D. Kristof has the best intentions, he inadvertently promotes the very idea of collective guilt that he seeks to oppose.

He himself has nothing to apologize for; he has not written a bigoted word.

Likewise, Muslims unconnected to 9/11 need not and should not act like guilty people by keeping a low profile near ground zero.

The controversial mosque is not built on ground zero. it is built a couple blocks away, and is only part of a community center. the idea that all muslims are terrorists is like saying all christians are bible toting bigots. anyone who thinks differently should research what really happened on 9/11.
